Volleyball Blog Post

Hi everyone, today i'm going to just show you some photos and explain what I've learnt in volleyball. Before I get on to that, I want to give a massive thank you to my coaches Eleanor, Seine and Sam who have supported and encouraged me to keep on doing my best and never give up when something is hard. One of the skills I learnt is to bowl down like your lazy and then when the ball is coming put two wrist together and hit. Another skill I learnt is when it is super high just put your right foot forward and do a diamond above your head and bend and extend. I  also learnt how to spike and play a lot of games including elimination and tournament. Here are some photo's of me!

- Why I chose this dance?

I chose this dance because they looked amazing and I wanted to do one about my cultural.

- What country is this dance from?

Tonga

- What I like about this dance?

I like how they use the drum to figure out the beat and also I loved how they were all in time because that is hard to do especially if you under 20 and these guys are from Mangere Collage.

- What is good about this dance?

I like how they are spaced out for this dance on this stage. Also I loved how they smiled during their actions because it was so sunny and they manged to do it.

- What could be improved about this dance?

Maybe they could stop the drum half way so they can sing and do the dance so it can show their real talent.

- What I think the story behind this dance could be?
By the way they do their actions I think it's a story about a farmer and how he was trying to get his animals out of the rain but he failed and some of them died. So he kept blaming himself and he was on a journey to find himself and God.

Fijian Meke Dance

- Why I chose this dance?

I chose this dance because I really liked their actions.

- What country is this dance from?

This dance is from Fiji.

- What I like about this dance?

I like how they were all in time and their all looked like one person doing it. I also loved their costumes because it was using their traditional mat.

- What is good about this dance?

It is good because by the looks of it they did it in a tiny space but they could fit about 8 people so you could use this dance no matter how large or small the stage is going to be.
- What could be improved about this dance?

I think they should work on doing a little bit more actions together so they can look more neat and perfect.

- What I think the story behind this dance could be?
I think the story is that they were a group but something stopped them from being a group but then something is wrong in their town so they try to fix it.

Spirit Animal

Children Dance

- Why I chose this dance?

I chose this dance because it's something different and unique to what I been posting up this week.

- What country is this dance from?

I think it's from India.

- What I like about this dance?

I like how they move and when I saw the cover, I didn't really think I will enjoy it but I was wrong.

- What is good about this dance?

I really like how they went into detail with their costumes and the children were all in time with their actions which is hard for children.

- What could be improved about this dance?

I think something that could be fixed is some people are wearing hats and some aren't which I thinks looks a bit messy.
- What I think the story behind this dance could be?
I think it was Diwali and they just practiced the week before to the a flash mob on Diwali Day.

Moana Dance

- Why I chose this dance?

I chose this dance because their actions are amazing and I like how they move in such a cultural way.

- What country is this dance from?

This song is from a movie and that movie was about all different pacific countries. But I think base on this song it's from Hawaii.

- What I like about this dance?

I like this dance because they all looked really cool because they were all in time and that's what makes them look awesome.
- What is good about this dance?

The good think about this dance is that when they do their actions they look like it's only one person doing it and it looks really neat.

- What could be improved about this dance?

I think when the part they just stand there because it's instrumental music is when they kind of look messy because people are moving here and there and it doesn't look right.

- What I think the story behind this dance could be?
I think it's someone trying to find who they are and what their background could be.

My 3 Spirit Animals

Hi, I am going to show you 3  spirit animals that I think I am. Feel free to comment down below your spirit animal and hope you enjoy! BTW SA stands for Spirit Animal!

SA 1- Lion
I think I kind of relate to a lion because personally I struggle to express my feelings to other people. I also read on a website that lions struggle to express their feeling too so I think I relate to them in that way. I also think I relate to the lion because I think that I am a little confident in what I do and so is the lion.

SA 2- Dog

I think I relate to a dog because I think I persevere with work and what i'm doing and dogs do the same thing which is something we have in common. I also think i'm trust worthy and and reliable and I read on a spirit animal website that their trust worthy and reliable.

SA 3- Bear

I think part of my spirit animal is a bear because I am confident and bears are very confident. I also think I show empathy at times and on this site it says that bears show empathy which I find hard to believe.
