Hi everyone today i'm going to show you 3 facts about New Zealand people. My school is being a part of this Summer Learning Journey activity. I will link their website down below. The first fact that I did't know was that most of the kiwis live in the North Island and 1 third of the kiwis live in Auckland. Something I also didn't know was that nearly four hundred years ago the Maori people sailed across the pacific ocean in tiny canoes. One more thing is that over 15% of kiwi families own their own boat because they love the outdoors and beautiful silky blue water. Those are some great facts about New Zealand you've posted, I didn't know it had been almost 400 years since the Māori settled in Aotearoa. I like that you've used a heap of adjectives to make your writing interesting to read.
Maybe next time you can add a bit more information about the Māori people, their journey and where they travelled from before they settled in New Zealand all those years ago.
I remember learning about how the English came after the Māori and they lived amongst each other before signing the treaty of Waitangi that changed Aotearoa in many ways. Do you know when they signed the treaty of Waitangi and where?
