Matariki

Good morning Matariki! On Monday morning Room 15 and Room 10 teamed up to make something for Matariki. So first Mrs Barton spit us up into 2 groups. We just went into our Maths groups. Then the Alge- Bros went to Mrs Keys to make some Matariki bread. Then the number ninjas stayed with Mrs Barton to make some stars. I was in the number ninjas. Some of the Room 10 kids came to our class to make some origami stars.  We had to watch a video to make the actual origami stars. You had to pause the video so you can do it on your origami paper. Then it was time for usto bake. But we didn't bake only Mrs Key did. It was sooo yum.

Then on Friday it was time for Matariki assembly!  First the Kapa Haka people performed. After that we sang songs. Then it was time for the Te reo people to show the kites that they made. It was really cool because they made  it of feathers and sticks. After we keep on standing up and sitting down. Then they done certificates and all of that. Then the assembly finished but it was time for the best part. It was time to fly our kites up in the air to  celebrate MATARIKI!
